In recent years, Shenyang has made use of the land parcels on street corners and river banks to plan and build urban "pocket parks" in light of local conditions, and by "greening the reclaimed land, and planting trees wherever there is space", the city created some "pocket parks" integrating with cultural, ecological, fitness and leisure functions, which bring about "micro-happiness" to the people.
