According to the survey,there are currently 238 species of birds in Shenyang.Nine species of them are national first-class protected animals such as Oriental white stork,black stork,hooded crane,red-crowned crane and white crane.Meanwhile,there are 52 species of summer migratory birds that breed in Shenyang.

The number of white crane population in Shenyang is particularly large.More than 90%of the world's migratory white cranes stop in Shenyang for replenishment.
