With an investment of nearly CNY 20 million,the 70-year-old Sujiatun District Labor Park has been upgraded and transformed into the Model Worker Park.

Sujiatun District Labor Park is located on Qingsong Road in Sujiatun District. It was founded in 1953 and covers an area of 90,000 square meters. Since its establishment 70 years ago, the Labor Park has carried the memories of several generations of people in Sujiatun District, and has high historical and cultural values. It is an important place for citizens to enjoy fitness, leisure and entertainment.

The renovation project of the Labor Park began in June 2023. Under the premise of maintaining the original spatial layout, reasonable planning has been carried out.Workers' elements, industrial elements, trade union elements, and the cultural connotation of the "three spirits" have been injected into the park. Landscapes such as Model Worker Avenue, Craftsman Mountain, Rice Ridge, Model Worker Forest and Industrial History and Culture Corridor have been constructed.

Moreover, multiple projects have been undergone the improvement and renovation, including planting and greening, equipment repairing and landscape lighting. The workers' culture and sports activity square and the outdoor worker service station have been renovated and built.

The renovated park has become a red education base that integrates publicity, education, culture, leisure and entertainment and inherits regional worker culture, model worker culture and craftsman culture.
