Along with the openness and international investment and cooperation, number of foreign workers from German and European enterprises who take their family members to live and work in Shenyang is increasing.Just as the Chinese families, they also care about the education of their children.

November 5, Shenyang Huebschmann School for Children of Foreign Personnel and European International Division opened.The school can match German education system directly. The school solved the schooling problem of the children of the foreign workers.

This school locates at the core part of China-German (Shenyang) High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as "China-German Industrial Park"). It's only 10 minutes drive from BMW Tiexi Plant. It's the first international school in NE China which owns the education license for children of foreign workers.German, French and English is used in teaching. Internationalized education materials are used in this school which can achieve seamless connection with the education system of Europe and America.

Robert Morse, principal of Germany side, said that this is the fourth Chinese school which can provide German certificates. There is one in Beijing and two others in Shanghai.Ministry of Education of Free State of Bavaria greatly supported the founding of this school. It's the only sister school of Augsburg-Rudolf · Diesel National Comprehensive School in China, which also recognize the academic credits of this school.Students will receive the same education as in Germany.

"At present, we can provide part of the German certificates. Soon later we will provide the students with qualification to attend university entrance examination in Germany and European IB course (course which recognized by EU Education Department)." said Robert:"I believe it's a great news for the foreign workers in Shenyang. It's the same to Shenyang."

It's learned that there are 44 German students in this school. Most of them are the children of the foreign workers of BMW, its related manufacturers and consulates. Along with the construction of the new BMW plant in Tiexi District, at least another 20 students will come to study in that school next term. The number of students will increase greatly in the future.France and Britain departments are new under construction to meet the schooling need of the children of Reno and Michelin.

Mr.Hartmann, vice president of BMW Brilliance Automotive, felt quite happy about the opening of the school:"We decided to build up the new BMW plant in Tiexi District a few weeks ago. This means there will be more and more working staffs from Germany and European countries to work in Shenyang in the future. Due to our living habits, we usually take our families with us, especially the children. Such an international school which can directly match with the German education system can meet the urgent need of us. And in the future there will be more and more German workers willing to work in Shenyang."

Besides, he specially thanked Shenyang Municipal Government, People's Government of Tiexi District and China-Germany Industrial Park for the great help and support they offered fro the founding of the school.He said providing perfect education supporting system for the children of the foreign workers is a good example of the excellent business environment of Shenyang. "We plan to stay in Shenyang over a long term and build up Shenyang together with Shenyang people."

The reporter learned that this international school also plans to carry out fellowship activities with local schools of Shenyang and enhance the mutual understanding among students and exchange ideas of advanced education.
