The Mutual Visa Exemption Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia for Holders of Diplomatic Passports, Service (Official) Passports and Passports for Public Affairs will come into effect on July 25, 2025.
According to the agreement, Chinese citizens holding diplomatic passports, service passports and passports for public affairs and Micronesian citizens holding diplomatic passports and official passports will be allowed to enter, exit, or transit through each other's country for no longer than 30 days from the date of entry be exempt from visa application.
Individuals planning to stay for more than 30 consecutive days or to reside within the territory of the other contracting party for working, studying, engaging in journalism or conducting any other activities requiring prior authorization from the competent authorities of the other contracting party, must apply for the appropriate visa prior to entry.
