To further facilitate the personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries, China decided to extend its visa-free policy to more countries. From November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, a visa-free policy will be implemented on a trial basis for the ordinary passport holders from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia and Japan.
In addition, China decided to simultaneously optimize its entry policies. Visa-free entry will be granted to travelers for exchange visits and the duration of visa-free stays allowed will be doubled to 30 days.Starting from November 30, 2024, ordinary passport holders from 38 countries, including the aforementioned 9 countries, will be allowed to enter and stay in China visa-free for up to 30 days for business, tourism, relative and friend visits, exchange visits and transit. Those who are not eligible for visa exemption certificate still need to obtain a visa before entering China.
