Here comes good news on the construction of the East Extension Line of Shenyang Metro Line 1.

On March 8, accompanied by the roar of machinery, the "Development" shield machine broke through the wall, and the double-track shield construction from Donglinggongyuan Station to section ventilation shaft on the East Extension Line of Shenyang Metro Line 1 was successfully completed.

The Civil Engineering Bid Section 5 for the Project of the East Extension Line of Shenyang Metro Line 1 includes a shield section from Donglinggongyuan Station to Zhongshuijie Station, which is constructed by China Railway No.9 Group Co., Ltd. To improve efficiency, four shield machines are adopted to excavate synchronously.

The tunnel from Donglinggongyuan Station to section ventilation shaft is about 1,043 meters long, and runs through the Shuangyuan Road, with the buried depth of 10-23 meters.It runs through and parallel to underground pipe network and urban main roads, so the construction is quite difficult. Shenyang Metro Group has continuously improved and optimized the construction scheme to ensure the safe and smooth progress of the shield construction.

Up to now, the double-track shield construction from Donglinggongyuan Station to section ventilation shaft has been completed, and the shield construction from Zhongshuijie Station to section ventilation shaft is in progress as planned.
