China Southern Airlines will launch an air route between Shenyang and Frankfurt on April 25.

This is the first regular direct air route to Germany opened in Northeast China by domestic airlines,and also the first direct air route to Europe opened in Shenyang by China Southern Airlines North Branch.

The Shenyang-Frankfurt route is operated every Thursday and serviced by Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft with a seating capacity of 313 passengers.

The Shenyang-Frankfurt flight CZ8021 departs from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport at 01:30 and arrives at Frankfurt Airport at 6:10 local time on Thursdays. Following an eight-hour layover, the return flight CZ8022 departs from Frankfurt at 14:15 on the same day and arrives in Shenyang at 6:15 Beijing time the next day.

The flight time of the Shenyang-Frankfurt flight is approximately 11 hours, which is over 5 hours shorter than that of transfer routes. Whether route planning or on-board security, the flight will serve passengers with safe, convenient and comfortable travel experience.

Germany serves as a major source of foreign investment and an important trading partner of Liaoning Province. Nearly 200 German enterprises have made good progress in Liaoning. This new "air corridor" between China and Germany will serve as a vital link connecting Liaoning with western Germany to effectively meet the increasing demands for business activities, family visits, abroad study and outbound tourism between these two places.
