Latest news from Shenyang Metro Line 6!On March 25,the right track tunnel of the section between Shitushuguan Station and Shenshuilu Station on Shenyang Metro Line 6 was successfully completed.

This is the first single track tunnel completed on Metro Line 6 and the first stacked tunnel of Shenyang Metro.

In the section between Shitushuguan Station and Shenshuilu Station on Shenyang Metro Line 6, the right track tunnel is 1,196.660 meters long, and the left track tunnel is 1,186.745 meters long.Both tunnels are stacked. This section is the first stacked section of Shenyang Metro. Due to the 2nd Ring Road Bridge near Shenshuilu Station and many high-rise buildings around it, the station was designed like a "pyramid" in order to save space and reserve platforms for the planned Line 8. The left track tunnel is on top and the right track tunnel is on bottom.In the future, passengers can transfer between Line 8 and Line 6 on the same platform without having to go a long way to transfer.

Metro Line 6 runs from Yalujiangbeijie Station in the north to Shaliulu Station in the south. Among the 29 stations of Line 6, passengers can transfer to Line 10 at Beita Station, to Line 4 at Shenyangdaxue Station and Changbaidao Station, to Line 1 at Zhongjie Station, to Line 2 at Shitushuguan Station, and to Line 9 at Hunhe Station. This important line connecting the north and the south of Shenyang will be put into operation in 2026.
