Winter and spring
are the seasons of high incidence
of respiratory infectious diseases,
and the risk
of concentrated fever outbreak
caused by influenza virus
increases.
So what is influenza?
What is the difference
between influenza and common cold?
Recently,
the National Health Commission
organized experts
to explain relevant issues.
Experts said that influenza is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by influenza virus infection, which will cause serious harm to human beings.
Generally, it is characterized by acute onset, and there will be fever, fatigue, headache, body ache, cough, runny nose and other symptoms. There can also be vomiting, diarrhea and other symptoms, which is different from the common cold.
So,
how should we prevent influenza
during its season
of high incidence?
Experts remind
that timely influenza vaccination
is the most effective means
to prevent influenza.
According to Wang Guiqiang, director of the Infection Department of Peking University First Hospital, we get influenza vaccination in autumn every year to cope with the occurrence of influenza in autumn, winter and spring. Vaccination is recommended for the elderly or children under 3 years of age. Of course, for some high-risk groups such as medical staff, vaccination is also recommended before the influenza season.
Experts suggest that people should open windows more for ventilation during the season of high incidence of influenza. It is recommended to open windows for ventilation no less than 3 times a day and each time for no less than 30 minutes, to keep the indoor air fresh.
