Recently,with the completion of the dome renovation project on the exterior facade of Shenyang Railway Station,this century-old station built in 1899 has undergone a full renovation and upgrade.And now,it makes its stunning appearance with a brand-new look.

Entering the station is faster now.

At Shenyang Railway Station, five security check channels have been set up in the metro transfer hall, three on the first floor of the east entrance, and two additional security check channels at the east square. This further expands the capacity for security checks at the station entrance and effectively diverts passengers to multiple points to avoid cross-flow risks. The real-name verification before security checks has been canceled, and the "combined identity verification and ticket check" model has been fully implemented. As a result, the waiting time for passengers at the station entrance has been significantly reduced, and the traffic efficiency has been greatly improved.

The new screens are amazing.

A new naked-eye 3D large screen has been added to the waiting room, two right-angle 3D screens have been installed on both sides of the east entrance hall, and four ultra-thin high-definition double-sided screens have been embedded in the ceiling. These screens are used to dynamically display train information, service announcements and public welfare messages, combining visual impact with clear information presentation.

The architectural heritage has been preserved.

During the quality improvement and renovation process, the construction team adhered to the principle of "maintaining original style and restoring to original appearance", and collaborated with cultural heritage authorities on specialized site investigations.They documented historical features such as the Tatsuno-style architectural domes and stone carvings, and innovated to apply a "non-destructive lifting and concealed anchoring" technique to avoid damaging the main structure.By installing dust and noise reducing protective canopies, they minimized the impact of construction on the cultural heritage. Particularly during the dome renovation at the station, they used a new eco-friendly self-cleaning coating that enables natural cleaning through rainwater runoff.
