Good news!The section between Nanliguan Station and Fangjialan Station of Shenyang Metro Line 3 started the no-load trial operation and the line is expected to be opened to operation within this year.

The eastern section of Metro Line 3 starts from Nanliguan Station in the west and ends at Fangjialan Station in the east, with a total length of 14 kilometers. The eastern section is all underground and will connect with the existing western section of Metro Line 3.There are 13 stations along the line, listed from west to east as follows: Lingkong Station, Shayang Station (transfer to Line 4), Nanbamalu Station, Jiaxingjie Station, Fangxingguangchang Station, Sanhaojie Station, Gongyezhanlanguan Station (transfer to Line 2), Zhongkeyuanjinshusuo Station, Nanta Station, Wenfulu Station, Fuminjie Station, Jiangdongjie Station (transfer to Line 10) and Fangjialan Station.

No-load trial operation is an indispensable and important step before the opening and operation of a metro line, and it should last for no less than three months. During this period, the reliability, safety and accuracy of all equipment and facilities systems, as well as the feasibility and effectiveness of various rules and regulations, will be comprehensively tested to lay a foundation for the subsequent safe and efficient initial operation.

Upon the eastern section of Metro Line 3 is opened, it will run through core areas such as Heping District and Shenhe District, facilitating convenient transfers with existing lines and optimizing the commuting structure for citizens.Moreover, it will connect important nodes in commerce, scientific and technological innovation, medical treatment and cultural tourism, such as Nanta Commercial Block, Liaoning Industrial Exhibition Hall, Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University and General Hospital of Northern Theater Command, driving industrial upgrading and urban integration along the line.
