Good news!A new progress has been made on the construction of Shenyang Metro Line 6.

The left-line shield construction for the section between Xiahewan Station and Manrong Station of Shenyang Metro Line 6 was successfully initiated.

On February 24, the "Anju" shield machine commenced operations, marking the successful initiation of the left-line shield construction for the section between Xiahewan Station and Manrong Station of Shenyang Metro Line 6. The project aims to complete the left-line shield tunneling by the end of May.

The section between Xiahewan Station and Manrong Station is constructed by China Railway Sixth Group Co., Ltd. The left line of the section is 953.44 meters long, while the shield tunneling section is a single-bore single-track tunnel with a line spacing of approximately 15 meters and a maximum gradient of 24.5‰.

The strata in this section are mainly gravel and sand layer, which are water-rich strata with strong permeability. During shield tunneling, the construction will involve underpassing and side-passing multiple risk sources, including residential buildings, water supply areas and power transmission towers, which significantly increases the complexity and challenges of the project.
