The 2025 Spring Festival travel rush starts today (on January 14),with passenger flows driven by people for family reunions,family visits and tourism.

The Shenyang Taoxian International Airport has upgraded its services for passengers during the Spring Festival travel rush.The services are more diverse and considerate.

▶Flights increased for popular routes◀

The Shenyang Taoxian International Airport plans to introduce extra routes to key destinations including Guangzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Kunming, Ningbo, Qingdao and Xishuangbanna, with approximately 800 extra flights expected to be operated.

The airport plans to resume international routes to Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and other destinations, and increase wide-body aircraft deployment on routes to Sanya, Chengdu, Shanghai and other destinations. It is expected that during peak periods, the number of wide-body aircraft per day will reach more than 12.

▶Themed interactive spots set up◀

During the Spring Festival travel rush, themed interactive spots have been set up at the airport terminals. Staff members will transform into folk experts, joining tourists in cutting window decorations featuring the Year of the Snake, making lanterns, experiencing traditional rubbing and collecting seals. Moreover, staff members dressed in antique style Chinese attire and cartoon style attire will provide considerate services for passengers.

In addition, the airport will collaborate with local culture and tourism authorities and performing arts groups to irregularly host a series of special activities for Spring Festival greetings, artistic performances and intangible cultural heritage exhibitions.

At the airport terminals, a range of complimentary services are provided, including ginger tea supply, blanket lending, book lending, luggage storage and cleaning, and medical consultations.

The airport has once again launched a special pick-up and drop-off service for Northeastern study tour groups. Passengers can make an appointment and register for the service through the airport's customer service hotline 96833.

During the Spring Festival holiday, non-local travelers checking into the airport hotel can enjoy a 20% discount on accommodation and meals. Inbound travelers holding foreign passports can take the airport-to-city shuttle bus for free. Some merchants in the terminals will offer various promotions such as discounts and free gifts.
