Good news!Shenyang's first three-dimensional traffic corridor was opened to traffic.

On December 18, the renewal and maintenance project for the Kaifa No.22 Road in Shenyang was completed and the road was opened to traffic. This road has become the first three-dimensional traffic corridor in Shenyang, where vehicles run on the ground level and metro trains run overhead.

The Kaifa No.22 Road starts from Hunhe No.27 Street in the west and ends at Zhongyang Street in the east, with a total length of about 13.9 kilometers, serving as a ground-level road under the elevated section of the western part of Shenyang Metro Line 3.The road is the only way to the Brilliance BMW Powertrain Plant, Tiexi Plant and Lydia Plant, and also serves as a critical link between the urban area of Shenyang and major enterprises located within the Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone.

In this renewal and maintenance project, a total of 315,000 square meters of motor vehicle pavements have been renovated, 55.2 kilometers of curb stones have been replaced, and the expansion joints of the Xihe Bridge and the other three bridges have been renovated. All traffic signals, surveillance cameras, streetlights, road name signs and traffic police equipment along the route have been newly installed.
