Here comes a new progress on Shenyang Metro Line 6!

On September 8,the shield construction was successfully completed for the left line of the section between Shitushuguan Station and Sanhaoqiao Station on Shenyang Metro Line 6,marking that this section has become the first shield section of the Metro Line 6 to complete the shield construction for double lines.

The section between Shitushuguan Station and Sanhaoqiao Station is the first stacked tunnel section to complete the shield construction for double lines in Shenyang Metro system.Shenyang Metro Group and the Project Department of Beijing Municipal Construction Group conducted geophysical exploration of the ground, and investigated and tested the structures in advance to formulate the optimal shield construction plan. Moreover, they invited an authoritative expert group to conduct consultations and carry out targeted design of the cutting wheel. During the construction process, regular analysis meetings on pile grinding were organized to implement measures, and the digging parameters were strictly controlled from the beginning to reduce tool wear. Eventually, the goal of safe and successful completion of the shield construction was achieved.

The formed tunnel has good appearance quality, and the structure size meets the specification and design requirements. The third-party monitoring has shown that the monitoring indicators for other sources of risk, such as the completed Shitushuguan Station of Line 2, meet the design requirements.
