Shenyang Metro now has five lines under construction,namely East Extension Line of Metro Line 1,Metro Line 3, Metro Line 6,the second phase of Metro Line 9 and the second phase of Metro Line 10.The mileage under construction amounts to 125 kilometers and there are 90 stations.

As of now,the five metro lines under construction are progressing orderly as scheduled.Let's have a look at the latest construction progress!

East Extension Line of Metro Line 1

The major structure construction of all the 10 stations and 10 sections has been accomplished. 1 section is under shield tunneling construction, and the track-laying construction is concurrently underway.

Metro Line 3

The major structure construction of 23 stations and 19 sections has been accomplished. Among them, the main structure construction of 14 stations and 14 sections in the west part (from Lida Station to Nanliguan Station) has been completed in full, achieving "tunnel connection" and "rail connection" successfully. Works like ventilation, water, electricity and decoration have all entered the site for cross-construction.

Metro Line 6

The major structure construction of 14 stations and 1 section has been accomplished. It is in the intense construction stage of the major structures of the stations and the sections.

The second phase of Metro Line 9

The main retaining structure construction of 3 stations has been completed, and the retaining structure construction of 2 stations is underway.

The second phase of Metro Line 10

Preparatory works like pipeline relocation are in progress, and comprehensive civil construction will follow.

Which new metro line can be taken soonest in the near future?

For now, the new metro line that can be taken soonest in the near future is the west part of Metro Line 3 (from Lida Station to Nanliguan Station), which is also known as the "aerial metro" as people call it.Currently, the project has successfully accomplished the two major milestones of "tunnel connection" and "rail connection". The entire project is in a "full-capacity" intense construction state and is making every effort to sprint towards the goal of trial operation within this year.
