The website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism recently announced the list of the first batch of 50 construction units for the Integrated Development Demonstration Zones of National Cultural and Tourist Industries.Shenhe District is listed on it and is the only selected unit in Liaoning Province!

In December 2022, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, began the establishment of the first batch of the integrated development demonstration zones of national cultural and tourist industries.Under the coordinated leadership and promotion of relevant departments at the provincial and municipal levels, Shenhe District actively established a three-level linkage promotion system for building an integrated development demonstration zone of national cultural and tourist industries.

In recent years, Shenhe District has attached great importance to the integrated development of cultural and tourist industries, deeply explored cultural and tourist resources, continuously promoted resource activation, business format upgrading, industrial integration and urban quality improvement, and promoted the transformation of Shenhe District from rich in cultural resources to prosperous in cultural development.

As of now, there have been a total of 101 cultural enterprises above designated size in Shenhe District, with an expected annual revenue exceeding CNY 9 billion. Both number and revenue of cultural enterprises above designated size account for about 1/4 of the city's total.
