Recently, the China Horse Industry Association awarded the establishment plaque of "Hometown of Horse in China" to Xinmin City, and stated that under the guidance of the "National Horse Industry Development Plan (2020-2025)" jointly issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the General Administration of Sport of China, top-level design would be made based on the current situation of the horse industry in Xinmin City and the medium and long-term plan for the horse industry would be formulated to explore and promote the development of horse-racing sports.Xinmin City also becomes the only city in China to get the honor of "Hometown of Horse in China" so far.

Xinmin City has a long history of horse industry. In recent years, its horse industry has developed rapidly.Nowadays, a complete horse industry chain that integrates breeding, domestication, training, exhibition and competition has been formed, and 48 registered horse industry enterprises have been cultivated. In Xinmin City, there are abundant competitive horse resources and national first-class endurance race tracks. Xinmin City has successively held two international equestrian endurance races and received over 10,000 visits of horseback enthusiasts annually.

On the day of awarding, Xinmin City also held equestrian carnival and famous horse display activity.More than 100 racehorses from Beijing, Shandong, Hebei and other regions, as well as Liaoning Province, participated in 9 performances including western equestrian show and hurdle race.
