Shenyang adds another great destination for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. After three years of renovation, the 150,000-square-meter park has been revitalized, bringing back the view of "Tawan Sunset."

From September 25 to October 7,a traditional Chinese aesthetic garden party will be held at the Tawan Historical and Cultural Park.

Here are the highlights of the garden party.

Unlike traditional gardens that emphasize landscape and water features, the more than 20 ancient-style scenic spots in the Tawan Cultural and Historical Park have their own story and are rich with cultural significance. The park leverages the profound historical and cultural connotation of the Stupa, Huilong Temple and Shengjing Stele Forest, vividly recreating the breathtaking view of "Tawan Sunset", one of the Eight Views of Shengjing.

This traditional Chinese aesthetic garden party blends folk culture with immersive experiences, offering over ten activities including guessing lantern riddles, throwing arrows into a pot, cuju, archery, intangible cultural heritage crafts, poetry rubbing and ancient-style photography. It also features immersive scenarios such as the scholar parade and the vermilion wisdom awakening ceremony.

During the garden party, cultural and artistic fairs and delightful performances will be held. Sunset concerts, ancient-style performances, film screenings and themed art exhibitions will take place continuously. During daytime hours, the garden party focuses on classical cultural activities, while evening highlights feature light and shadow performances. Visitors here can experience the unique poetic charm and romance of Tawan amidst autumn garden scenery.

The park features dozens of photogenic spots. Stroll along the main route, and you can snap picture-perfect scenes at any turn. Whether it's a dramatic ancient-style scene or a silhouette against the sunset along the waterfront, every snapshot turns out beautifully.

The park sets up a dedicated area for light food tasting and sales, offering a variety of specialty treats including themed pastries, herbal teas, Huanggu ice cream and vegetarian noodles. The Huilong Temple also provides vegetarian meals for visitors.

Reminders:The Tawan Historical and Cultural Park is currently undergoing a name change.Visitors are advised to navigate to Stupa Wetland Park instead.
