On March 23, the travel portal Tuniu released the "Tourism Consumption Trend Report for the 2026 Qingming Festival Holiday".The booking data shows that the tourism market will present two travel peaks. The first travel peak driven by spring break will occur from April 1 to April 2, with parent-child families as the main group of this travel craze. The second travel peak will occur on the first day of the upcoming Qingming Festival holiday (April 4), when the tourism market will see a surge in spring outings and flower-viewing activities.

The booking data from Tuniu shows that during the Qingming Festival holiday, the tourists visiting Liaoning Province would mainly come from within the province. Tourists from neighboring provinces such as Heilongjiang and Jilin also accounted for a significant proportion. Among them, Dandong, Dalian, Anshan and Harbin are major source cities for tourists, and Shenyang ranks first among popular destinations in Liaoning Province.

The data from Tuniu reveals that with the spring break boost, the demand for family trips surges, and destinations such as Shenyang emerge as top choices for parent-child travel during the break.The booking popularity has grown significantly for tourist spots such as Shenyang Zhongjie Commercial Street, Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum, Beiling Park, Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence Museum and Liaoning Provincial Museum.

In terms of travel modes, over 60% of users choose local or nearby self-driving tours. Destinations such as Shenyang are highly favored by self-driving tourists.
