The grand original acrobatic drama "Xiansheng",or "Starting Sounds",will embark on its 2026 national tour.On May 15 and 16,it will kick off its national tour at the Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts in Nanjing.

Before the national tour,this meticulously crafted masterpiece will be first staged at the Shengjing Grand Theater in Shenyang on March 27 and 28.

"Xiansheng" has been awarded two top national honors.

"Xiansheng" has won the outstanding works award of the 17th "Five-One Project" of the national spiritual civilization construction by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, and also claimed the 18th Wenhua Award for Best Drama of China's Government Awards for Culture and Art. It is truly a work honored with two top national awards.

In addition, the drama has accumulated numerous top industry honors, including the 6th Liaoning Wenhua Grand Prize and the key work supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 2024 China Acrobatic Art Innovation Project. This makes it a rare "grand-slam award-winning" work in the literature and art history of Northeast China.

Over 30 acrobatic acts are used to present the story of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.

"Xiansheng" is China's first stage production that presents the history of the September 18 Incident in the form of an acrobatic drama. It breaks new ground by staging the pivotal history of the starting sounds of resistance against Japanese aggression and the national struggle for survival, becoming a benchmark work that deeply integrates acrobatic art with a major historical theme.

Breaking the traditional limitation of acrobatics focusing only on skills, the drama seamlessly integrates more than 30 classic acrobatic acts such as lion dance and stilt walking into the storyline. It also features original and specially choreographed acrobatic scenes including Motorcycle Stunt Riding and Aerial Net Act.
