Recently,the Dongbei Dagu Exhibition Hall at the Shenyang Public Art Museum (Shenyang Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) has opened to the public for free.

The exhibition hall focuses on the Dongbei Dagu, a national intangible cultural heritage item, systematically tracing its development and retracing its origins and century-long inheritance.

The display cabinets showcase the performance costumes, Shu drums (drum used in Dongbei Dagu), Guban (drum and clapper used in Dongbei Dagu), Sanxian (three-stringed Chinese lute), and Sihu (four-stringed Chinese fiddle) used by the old artists of Dongbei Dagu during their performances. The exhibition also features precious materials such as gramophone records, scripts, literary works and related periodicals from different eras. The dozens of historical photos on display vividly capture the stage presence and performance moments of actors and string players from various periods, holding significant cultural value.
