On the afternoon of November 8,the China-Germany cultural exchange "Artistic Journey" event,themed "Explore Shenyang's Intangible Cultural Heritage,Appreciate the Treasures of China",was successfully held at the Shenyang Art Building.The event provided international friends with an immersive experience of Peking Opera,quyi and intangible cultural heritage(ICH)handicrafts.

During the Peking Opera experience,international friends learned about the origin of the national treasure and the characteristics of the four roles of Sheng,Dan,Jing and Chou.They enjoyed the original classic traditional Peking Opera "Three Way Forks in the Road" and experienced iconic stage techniques,such as twirling the flower-spear and dancing the water sleeves.

During the quyi appreciation,international friends sipped Chinese tea learned about the origins of cross talk,experienced fast-paced tongue twisters and appreciated the rhythmic charm of Northeast Drum Song.In addition,they also learned the basic techniques of kuaiban single-point rhythm on site.

During the ICH visit,the organizers invited ICH inheritors Yu Qiquan,Feng Yuanping and Li Xue.International friends learned about and admired the exquisite works of Yu's dough figurine craftsmanship,Feng Yuanping's paper-cutting craftsmanship and Li's paper-pleating.Moreover,they completed a blue-and-white porcelain gourd pendant under Li Xue's live instruction after the visit.

Taking the ICH as the medium,this event won over international friends and injected fresh personal perspectives into cross-cultural communication.Shenyang is more internationalized.
