Shenyang Culture and Tourism Youth Choir recently gave a music flash mob of "Northeast China, My Hometown" at the Industrial Museum of China.

Visitors from over 20 countries involved in the BRI,including Ghana, Tanzania,Jordan, Nepal and Uganda, happened to be there, and thus a music carnival unfolded across borders.

As the lively Northeastern-style melody began and the choir members struck a pose for photos, foreign visitors were drawn by the upbeat rhythm and regional charm. Some nodded in time to the beat, some unconsciously swayed their bodies, and soon a few joined the group for an impromptu dance. Locals from Shenyang gathered around, some clapping and others humming along. In no time, the museum hall became a sea of joy.

Visitors from different countries exclaimed, "The music is so energetic," as they learned the basic steps of the Yangko dance. These foreign friends were learning carefully. Although their movements were somewhat awkward, their eyes were full of excitement. The audience on the spot were taking photos of each other with their mobile phones and applauding for their performance. No matter where they're from, everyone's smile in the group photo shines brightly.

The flash mob of "Northeast China, My Hometown" by Shenyang Youth Culture and Tourism Choir will also be staged at more landmarks in Shenyang, leveraging music to connect the city's memory with the new look of cultural tourism.
