On July 2,the Liaohe Seven Star Lake Scenic Area opened to the public.

The scenic area is built around the Shifosi Reservoir,which is the largest plain wetland-type reservoir in China.It covers a total area of 22.6 square kilometers,with a water area of 16.13 square kilometers.In a word, it's vast!

Seagulls gather in flocks and lotus flowers give off a sweet fragrance.Not only is this place vast,but the scenery here is also extremely beautiful.

The Liaohe Seven Star Lake Scenic Area has emerged as a paradise for birds, hosting Oriental white storks — a species under first-class State protection. Additionally, other bird species such as egrets, grey herons, cormorants and whiskered terns can be observed in the scenic area. Statistical records indicate that more than 200 wild bird species have been documented within the scenic area to date.

In the summer vacation, the lotuses in the scenic area will welcome their peak season, with 4,000 mu of lotus flowers to bloom. From July to August, the lake surface will be covered with lotus flowers, which will contrast beautifully with the green lotus leaves under the sunlight, presenting a breathtaking scene.

Visitors here may take a leisurely walk along the 1,000-meter-long boardwalk, admiring the delicate beauty of the blooming lotus flowers up close. They may also choose to embark on a pleasure-boat ride at the Lotus Pier, going through the lotus flowers and immersing themselves in the delightful experience of "floating through a painting".
