On July 16, the opening ceremony of "Hello Shenyang" International Youth Summer Camp, jointly organized by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal People's Government, Shenyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and Shenyang Normal University, was successfully held. The participants in this summer camp came from Chicago, the United Stated and Gumi, the ROK, two friendship cities of Shenyang.

The summer camp lasts for two weeks.Relying on the regional characteristics of Shenyang,the summer camp has arranged rich activities in the form of special lectures,intangible cultural heritage experience,cultural investigation and interactive exchanges.

The participants will learn traditional Chinese culture such as tea culture, Na's cheongsam, Chinese Peking Opera, seal cutting, paper cutting, rope weaving, traditional Chinese painting and tai chi.They will experience the intangible cultural heritage projects such as sugar painting and cotton painting.Moreover, they will visit the Shenyang Imperial Palace Museum, the world cultural heritage, Liaoning Provincial Museum, Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Museum and BMW Tiexi Plant, experiencing the urban spirit and unique charm of Shenyang from all angles.

The participants expressed their strong interest in Chinese culture and their expectations for this trip to Shenyang in their speech. They hope to enhance their understanding of Chinese culture and Shenyang through the summer camp, and strive to be a bridge and bond for exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries.
