The 2nd Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament of Shenyang Modern Metropolitan Area and the 13th Shenyang Dragon Boat Grand Prix are about to kick off.Recently, various participating teams have come to the Pier 9 of the Hunhe River for training.

On June 19, the dragon boat team of international students from Shenyang Medical College and the dragon boat team from Huimin Community, Zhujianlu Sub-district, Shenhe District, both of who will participate in the dragon boat grand prix had a friendly match during the training session on the Hunhe River.

An international student from Nigeria said that it was his first time to participate in a dragon boat competition. "I am very excited. There is no such sport in our country. The scenery on both sides of the Hunhe River is very beautiful, especially in summer. It feels great to row a dragon boat here."

Another international student from Zimbabwe will take his third dragon boat competition in Shenyang. This time, he will share his experience with his teammates."Dragon boat racing is not too difficult for individuals, but it is a team sport, and everyone needs to control the rhythm well and keep the movement consistent," he said.
