BMW Brilliance recently signed Memoranda of Understanding ("MOU") with Henan Sunho Group Co., Ltd. ("Sunho Group") and CSMET New Material Group Co., Ltd. ("CSMET") to secure the supply of green electrolytic aluminum and recycled aluminum from 2024 to 2030. These collaborations not only ensure BMW's access to high-quality low-carbon aluminum materials but also minimize the carbon footprint of vehicle production from the very beginning.

▶Under the MOU with Sunho Group, BMW Brilliance is set to receive an annual supply of green electrolytic aluminum meeting BMW's stringent quality standards from Sunho Group. The green aluminum is produced using renewable energy, leading to a substantial reduction of approximately 14 tons of carbon emissions per ton. The MOU is poised to play a crucial role in supporting BMW's efforts to achieve a low-carbon transformation in the manufacturing of vehicle body parts and raw materials.

▶Under the MOU with CSMET, BMW Brilliance and its supply chain are set to receive an annual allocation of high-quality recycled aluminum materials for processing to form secondary aluminum from CSMET. By utilizing secondary aluminum, BMW can achieve a reduction of nearly 18 tons of carbon emissions per ton, in comparison to primary aluminum production. This proactive measure significantly contributes to lowering the overall carbon footprint of BMW products throughout their lifecycle. Moreover, CSMET, honored as the first recipient of BMW Brilliance Sustainability Award, has played a key role in establishing a closed-loop aluminum recycling system, contributing to both parties' shared goal of achieving high-quality development through circular and sustainable practices.
