On November 22, 2023,the Gen6 Battery Project in the BMW Shenyang Production Base officially delivered the building's roof sealing and the building's main body was fully completed.

The contract was signed in November last year,the construction started in May this year,it took only half a year to achieve the roof sealing...The construction of Shenyang's 10b-yuan-level major projects represented by this project continues to refresh the "progress bar".

The Gen6 Battery Project in the BMW Shenyang Production Base will involve CNY 10 billion in investment and create around 2,000 new local jobs.As a supporting project of BMW Group's NEUE KLASSE vehicles to be put into production in Shenyang from 2026, the new production facilities will lay a foundation for the local application of BMW Group's latest technology in China, as well as low-carbon, efficient and high-quality HVB production.

By continuously expanding its industrial layout in Liaoning Province and accelerating its NEV local production, the BMW Group not only integrates its own development into that of Liaoning, but also joins hands with its supplier partners to promote the transformation and upgrading of Liaoning manufacturing industry.Among them, ZF, an old friend of BMW Brilliance for 20 years, has invested to build a NEV e-drive system production base in Shenyang for the BMW NEV models. The battery cell supplier EVE Energy's new plant in Shenyang has already begun its construction to provide cells for the locally-produced Gen6 battery, with a total investment of CNY 10 billion.

Currently, BMW Shenyang Production Base seamlessly integrates R&D, procurement and vehicle production with an impressive annual capacity of up to 830,000 vehicles.This makes it not only BMW's largest production base in the world, but also one of the most significant centers for new energy vehicles within the BMW Group.
