Good news!August 19 marks a new milestone for the Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub.Two cross-border transport routes were launched on the same day:one connecting Shenyang and Baku, Azerbaijan,and the other running between Shenyang and Russia via Mongolia.

On the morning of August 19, a consignment of frozen beverages produced in Liaoning Province set off for Baku, Azerbaijan aboard TIR international freight trucks. Previously, goods from Liaoning Province and Shenyang bound for Azerbaijan mostly relied on a single overland route detouring via Russia. This newly launched trans-Caspian route departs from the Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub, exits China through Baketu Port in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, arrives at Kuryk Port in Kazakhstan, and crosses the Caspian Sea by ferry to Baku Port in Azerbaijan. This creates a multi-modal transport corridor combining road and ferry services. Compared with conventional overland routes, this new route cuts travel distance by nearly 2,000 kilometers, with an overall transport time of 13 to 14 days.

On the same day, four TIR international freight trucks loaded with auto parts departed from the Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub, crossed Mongolia via Erenhot Port in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and headed for Russia.

The simultaneous launch of the China–Kazakhstan–Azerbaijan and China–Mongolia–Russia routes will further leverage the platform strengths of Shenyang's national production-service logistics hub. It will help foreign-trade enterprises in Shenyang and the whole of Liaoning Province expand overseas transport options and reduce cross-border logistics costs.

The Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub has already launched over 10 cross-border transport routes.

Up to now, the Shenyang TIR Logistics Hub has launched over 10 cross‑border transport routes covering six countries: Russia, Belarus, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. The hub has managed 480 TIR shipments, with goods valued at 272 million yuan, and issued 943 TIR documents in total.
