The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently announced the list of national-level green factories for 2025.A total of 19 enterprises in Shenyang were successfully selected,covering multiple core industries.This sets a new record for the highest number of selected enterprises in any previous year.

Up to now,Shenyang has cultivated a total of 75 national-level green factories and 2 national-level green industrial parks.

Green manufacturing is emerging as a distinct feature of this old industrial base to promote new-type industrialization.Let's take a look at the "green code" behind this success!

In terms of industrial layout, Shenyang has deeply integrated into the "3+4+3" industrial development system. It takes the three traditional industries of equipment manufacturing, automobiles and auto parts, and food as the foundation, and the four emerging industries of aerospace, new-generation information technology, biomedicine and medical equipment, and new energy as the growth engines. In each field, a number of green factory benchmark enterprises have been cultivated, achieving a synchronous reinforcement of green development and industrial upgrading.

In terms of spatial layout, the industrial core areas such as Tiexi District, Dadong District and Shenbei New District have become demonstration highlands for green manufacturing, radiating and driving the development of areas such as Sujiatun District, Hunnan District and Liaozhong District, thus forming a coordinated development effect with core leadership and multiple supporting points.

Based on the green factory, Shenyang has taken the lead in the Northeast region to select typical cases of "zero-carbon factory" construction. By integrating the standards for creating zero waste factories, the city is promoting the leap to a higher level of green manufacturing. In 2025, Shenyang added 8 typical cases of "zero-carbon factory" construction and cultivated 27 zero-waste factories.
