On March 23,Oliver Zipse,chairman of the board of management of BMW Group,attended the China Development Forum 2025.

In his speech,Zipse said that since 2010,BMW has invested approximately 116 billion yuan in its production base in Shenyang.The BMW Shenyang production base has developed into a globally leading hub for manufacturing and innovation.

Zipse said, "As a global engine of innovation, China has become an important fulcrum in BMW Group's future development strategy." BMW Group and China have jointly entered a new phase of collaboration. Dubbed "Cooperation 2.0", it focuses on technological innovation and mutually beneficial opportunities to deliver intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions.

BMW Group has been deeply rooted in China for over three decades and has become an important participant and driver of China's economic development and technological innovation. Since 2010, BMW has invested approximately 116 billion yuan in its production base in Shenyang, significantly boosting industrial upgrading and improving local employment.

At present, the BMW Shenyang production base has developed into a globally leading hub for manufacturing and innovation. Its production efficiency and product quality has been continuously enhanced by the comprehensive application of digital technologies such as AI.
