For Shenyang, an industrial city,building a modern industrial system industrial chain is the foothold.

Since the establishment of the "Chain Leader Institution" working mechanism in Shenyang,the city has achieved significant results in cultivating industrial clusters and advantageous industrial chains!

In the industrial economic data of the first half of this year, the total scale of the eight key industrial chains in the city reached CNY 412.51 billion, a year-on-year growth of 14.2%.Among them, integrated circuit, automobiles and parts, aviation, new generation of information technology, and new energy & energy conservation and environmental protection industrial chains achieved double-digit growth, reaching 36.2%, 23%, 20%, 11%, and 10% respectively.

▶ Major projects achieved new breakthroughs. In the first half of the year, there were 705 projects with an investment amount of over CNY 5 million each in 8 key industrial chains, with a total planned investment of CNY 311.2 billion.

▶ The resilience of the industrial chains was significantly strengthened. Taking application as the driving force, the industrial foundation reconstruction project was further implemented, the support policies to enhance the industrial foundation capacity was published, the construction of 90 projects was promoted, and 30 breakpoints and blockages in the industrial chains were broken through.

▶ Breakthroughs were made in tackling key core technologies. In 2023, the key enterprises in the 8 industrial chain plan to tackle 65 items of key core technology challenges throughout the year. Currently, the development and the industrialization application of 28 items have been completed; 37 items are under development and to achieve breakthroughs by the end of 2023; Shenyang Blade Times Company’s precision blades for aviation engines and other 27 items of key core technology challenges have been tackled and achieved industrial application; the basic computing power of Shenyang Artificial Intelligence Computing Center has been upgraded to 300P.

▶ Chain investment achieved results. In the first half of this year, there were 903 newly signed projects in the 8 industrial chains, with a signed amount of CNY 316.2 billion; there were 402 landed industrial projects, with a total estimated investment of CNY 147.1 billion.

Next, Shenyang will focus on key industrial chains, improve the cultivation system of high-quality private enterprises and implement a special action for developing advanced manufacturing clusters.By the end of the year, the city strives to achieve an economic scale of over CNY 800 billion in 8 key industrial chains, and successfully create 4 new 100-billion-level industrial chains.
