Did you know that?The North Heavy Industry (NHI) Automobile Steering Company in Shenyang contributed to the special vehicles for astronauts.

This vehicle is China's first dedicated medical monitoring and support vehicle equipped for manned space missions.The most important thing for astronauts returning to the earth is gravity re-adaptation.The medical monitoring and support vehicle undertakes this important task.The steering system equipped for this purpose is also very technically demanding, and it needs to withstand strict tests such as wind-blown sand, wading, and impact.

The steering system components of this vehicle are produced by NHI.During the production period, 1.2 million steering durability tests, 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray tests, and high and low temperature durability tests at -40°C to 120°C were carried out.In addition, key data of the product such as wading, corrosion resistance, strength and extreme temperature have also been comprehensively tested.
