On April 6, CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center released the "CCID Top 100 Innovation Districts (2022)".Two districts of Shenyang are selected: Heping District ranks 51st and Tiexi District ranks 97th.

CCID Top 100 Innovation Districts (2022) sets up an urban innovation evaluation index system with four first-level indexes of "innovation ecology, innovation motivation, innovation subject, and innovation achievement" and 16 secondary indexes such as "regional GDP, R&D investment intensity, and the number of national high-tech enterprises".It conducts a comprehensive analysis of the innovation level of the urban districts in key areas including sci-tech innovation, industrial technology innovation, and reform and innovation.

The evaluation results of the Top 100 Innovation Districts show that urban districts play an important role in China's innovation-driven strategy.In 2021, the average growth rate of regional GDP in the Top 100 Innovation Districts reached 8.4%.There were 97,000 national high-tech enterprises gathering, with a total of 839 specialized and new "little giant" enterprises.These districts played an important role in leading the construction of "tropical rainforest" comprehensive innovation ecology, exploring breakthrough innovation practices and so on.
