The revenue growth increased and the number of units increased
In the first three quarters of 2021, the city's cultural industry enterprises above the designated size achieved operating revenue of 21.81 billion RMB Yuan. Based on the rapid growth achieved in the first two quarters, the city continued to maintain the momentum of rapid development, with a year-on-year growth rate of 31.7 percent and a two-year average growth rate of 4.1 percent. Among them, the revenue of cultural manufacturing industry was 2.87 billion RMB Yuan, up 22.0 percent year on year with a two-year average growth of 0.9 percent. The revenue of cultural wholesale and retail was 8.81 billion RMB Yuan, up 32.0 percent year on year with a two-year average growth rate of 5.3 percent. The revenue of cultural service industry was 10.13 billion RMB Yuan, up 34.5 percent year on year, with a two-year average growth of 4.0 percent. Meanwhile, the number of cultural industry enterprises above the designated size in the city increased by 40 over the previous year. In the first three quarters of this year, enterprises in the cultural industry achieved operating revenue of 8,420.5 billion RMB Yuan, up 21.8 percent year-on-year. The operating revenue of cultural industry enterprises in the province reached 56.24 billion RMB Yuan, up 21.4 percent. The growth rate of business revenue of cultural industry enterprises in Shenyang is higher than the national and provincial growth.
Cultural services accounted for more than 40 percent of the operating income
In terms of operating income, in the first three quarters of this year, the cultural service industry accounted for the largest proportion of 46.4 percent, followed by the cultural wholesale and retail industry for 40.4 percent, and the cultural manufacturing industry accounted for the least 13.2 percent. The proportion of cultural wholesale and retail sales was 6.0 percentage points lower than that of cultural services, which is 0.4 and 3.7 percentage points smaller than the same period last year and the first half of this year, respectively.
In terms of units, in the first three quarters, the cultural service industry accounted for the highest proportion of 63.0 percent, followed by the cultural wholesale and retail industry of 25.5 percent, and the cultural manufacturing industry accounted for the lowest proportion of 11.5 percent.
In terms of employees, the number of employees in the cultural service industry was the largest in the first three quarters, accounting for 74.1 percent, followed by the cultural wholesale and retail industry, which accounted for 15.5 percent, and the cultural manufacturing industry accounted for the smallest proportion of 10.3 percent.
The industries with relatively high revenue share have a good development trend
From the nine categories of cultural industry, the industries with a relatively high proportion of the city's business revenue achieved rapid growth, which played a supporting role in the city's rapid growth. Among them, the revenue of content creation and production (14.6 percent), creative design services (20.2 percent) and cultural communication channels (31.5 percent) increased by 36.2 percent, 56.2 percent and 35.6 percent respectively, all higher than the average level of the city. The number of units in the three major industries were 52, 83 and 69 respectively, totaling 204 units, accounting for 61.8 percent of the total number of units in the city.
Among the 16 Internet cultural industry subcategories with obvious new forms of culture, Shenyang involves 7 industry subcategories. In the first three quarters, Shenyang has a total of 25 enterprises, 6 more than the whole year before, and the operating income is 1.28 billion RMB Yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 9.7 percent.
