On March 26, 2019 BMW Brilliance Supplier Day which brings together the world's top suppliers, threw out a series of exciting news. In 2020, BMW Brilliance Plant Dadong will produce the fully-electric BMW IX3 with a production capacity of 120,000 units for global sales. This is the first luxury car manufacturer to produce pure electric and globally exported models in China. In 2021, BMW Brilliance Plant Dadong will realize the mid-term revision of the new BMW 5 Series and upgrade it to the new BMW 5 Series LCI which will be in the global spotlight once again. In 2022, BMW Brilliance Plant Dadong will also mass produce a more high-end and value-added model.

At present, BMW Brilliance Automotive will expand BMW Brilliance Plant Dadong again by taking new energy technology as the breakthrough of production capacity. BMW Brilliance Automotive Plant Dadong will produce new BMW 5 Series, X3 and new energy vehicles. It has realized the full development process from design concept to mass production and delivery.

In the drastic changes of the global automobile industry, Harald Kruger, CEO of BMW Group put forward the idea of "three steps". The first fully-electric BMW IX3 to be put into production in the plant in 2020 which is an important strategic layout of the second stage of "three steps". In this sense, BMW Brilliance Plant Dadong has become an important base deeply integrating into the global strategic transformation and the upgrading of BMW Group. BMW Group planted its first seed in Dadong District, and now it has grown into a towering tree standing in the world.
