In June, the offline auto show, which had been suspended by the epidemic was back as the auto marketplace in Shenyang accelerates its recovery and the number of transactions is steadily increasing, boosting the market confidence.

Offline auto show accelerates recovery.

Last week, the "2020 Shenyang Summer Auto Show" was held in Shenyang Haochezhima Automobile Trading Park of Shenyang Economic and Technological Development Zone. More than 60 automobile manufacturers and dealers and more than 200 new cars were exhibited. The total number of visitors and test drivers reached more than 5,000 and the number of orders reached more than 400. "In the few offline auto shows held after the epidemic stabilized, this was a good sales performance," said Yan Ning, head of the curatorial side. Shenyang has three major auto shows every year, which are launched in March, June, and October. Affected by the epidemic, Shenyang Spring Auto Show and the largest Shenyang International Auto Show have not been launched as scheduled.

In the venue, hand-washing stations have been installed in many locations, isolation rooms have been specially set up, health QR code scanning and temperature measurement are implemented before entering, the population flow is controlled to maintain a safe distance, and the contactless payment is adopted to ensure no mistakes are made in the exhibition. Automobiles, as a commodity, are a major player in boosting domestic demand. At present, with the support of relevant departments, Shenyang has been holding a number of small-scale offline auto shows, and the number of visitors and the volume of transactions are also increasing.

Selling cars plays the main card.

In addition to selling cars, the auto show also has the attributes of marketing the car brand. Previous auto shows often present the characteristics of "big, luxurious and novelty", using luxury cars and concept cars to attract attention and create gimmicks. And now, the epidemic and new marketing methods are quietly changing the style of offline auto shows, making them more practical and relevant.

"Right now, selling cars comes first." An exhibiting dealer said that during the epidemic, in-store sales were affected, and the offline auto show did manage to gather more traffic and popularity, and everyone took out their main utility models for the auto show. In order to reflow the funds, dealers also give a lot of preferential treatment, and even the manufacturer rebates are also given back to consumers. Part of the models put forward the slogan of "Clear Inventory, Sell at a Loss". The outdoor auto show also has a test drive area.

According to some dealers that this year, due to the impact of the epidemic, the main engine plants have adjusted their annual sales targets accordingly. Considering the difficulties faced by dealers, they have also relatively reduced the pressure on their targets, so for the time being there will not be a particularly drastic price fluctuation. In recent years, the growth of car sales has slowed down, and the "water" in the price is being squeezed out, making the price of cars more realistic and stable as rational consumers become the mainstream.

The market is clearly recovering.

The continuation of the auto show industry is a reflection of the accelerated recovery of the automobile market.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, car dealers have seen a dramatically drop in sales in February and March. By April and May, sales began to recover significantly, and have largely returned to the same level last year. Some car brands with new models on the market also saw year-on-year growth in sales.

What is worth paying attention to is that models in the range of 100,000 to 300,000 RMB Yuan have become the mainstream. The epidemic has intensified the reshuffling of cards in the already white-hot contested auto market, and the "Matthew effect" is prominent. In response to the impact of the epidemic, the sales of traditional auto 4S stores have also entered the "year of transformation", gradually transferring from offline to online. Online ordering and home delivery services are fully spread out in many 4S stores in Shenyang. "People are also expecting more stimulus policies from the central government and governments at all levels for the auto industry market." This is the voice of a lot of dealers.
