The data released by Shenyang Statistics Bureau on August 16 showed that since this year, the trend of economic steady recovery of Shenyang was obvious. The electricity consumption of industry, especially manufacturing, belonging to secondary industry has increased dramatically due to the increase in market demand.

From January to July, the industrial electricity consumption of Shenyang was 10.079 billion kilowatt hours, up 7.5% year on year, up 4.8% compared with the same period of 2019, with the growth increasing by 10 percentage points compared with the same period of 2020, increasing by 1.3 percentage points compared with the first half of this year, among which, the electricity consumption of manufacturing was 6.616 billion kilowatt hours, up 14.3% year on year, up 11.6% compared with the same period of 2019, with the growth increasing by 16.7 percentage points compared with the same period of 2020.

The cumulative growth of the electricity consumption of manufacturing has been increasing dramatically since the beginning of this year, reached its peak in February and maintained double-digit growth from March to July.
