Online travel platform Tongcheng Travel recently released the "2026 Summer Travel Trend Forecast Report".The report shows that Shenyang forcefully secures a spot among the top 10 popular domestic air travel destinations due to its superior geographic location,transportation, historical study tours and refreshing summers.

Since late June, flight tickets to Shenyang have seen a surge in bookings. Young travelers from all over the country are flocking to the city to explore historic blocks and immerse themselves in authentic local life of Northeast China. Centennial time-honored brands on the Zhongjie commercial street, delicacies at the Xita block and barbecue stalls in the Laobeishi scenic area have become trendy items all over young people's social platforms.

Tongcheng Travel's big data shows that the search volume for graduation tours surged by 300% month-on-month, while orders from young users aged 16 to 20 rose by 35% month-on-month, with cross-provincial tours accounting for over 70%. The Shenyang Imperial Palace Musuem and the Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence Museum stand as top destinations for graduates to visit during their study tours.
