The 2026 Shenyang Faku Ice and Snow Cultural Tourism Season and Caihu Winter Fishing Season is about to kick off.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 am on January 22. Not only will lively folk performances be staged, but also Wang Zhenyu and Wang Zhihui from the "Avenue of Stars" will be invited to sing at the scene. As the opening ceremony begins, the rising colored smoke will synchronize with the fixed-wing aircraft show. The "heaviest fish" of the winter fishing will be transported by an unmanned aerial vehicle to the stage, followed by an exciting auction of the heaviest fish.

Special Experience

Professional Sports Events: On January 22, folk custom events will be held, including snowfield ice sled racing, family snow tubing, ice spinning top, fun "ice hockey" and snow bike relay. Meanwhile, team competitions such as snowball fight, snowfield tug-of-war and snowfield football will also take place.

Immersive Fishing Activities: An ice fishing zone will be set up from January 22 to January 24, offering "ice fishing + low-altitude sightseeing" combo tickets. Ice fishing tents will be provided, enabling participants to "fish alone in the cold river" while also "gazing to the utmost distance". In addition, customized ice fishing packages will be available for corporate groups.

Ice and Snow Sports

‌During the event period (January 22 to February 28), the Caihu Lake will transform into a snow amusement park.

‌Periodic Ice Competitions:‌ Weekly ice competitions such as ice cart relay, ice dragon boat, snow tube relay and ice tug-of-war will be held. Winners can obtain ice and snow experience vouchers.

Daily Leisure Activities: Dozens of ice and snow entertainment activities, such as single/double snowboarding, snow surfing, snow tank and snowmobile, will be available every day.

"Low-altitude Treasure Hunt" Interaction: Based on the traditional "ice and snow treasure hunt", a "low-altitude treasure hunt wonderland" will be set up. Treasure boxes containing aviation cultural and creative products and coupons will be air-dropped by low-altitude aircraft during specific time periods.

‌"Whole Fish Feast · Warm Winter Life" Zone:‌ It will offer a "Caihu iron pot stew" set, featuring steaming northeastern stews such as iron pot stewed fish and chicken stewed with mushrooms. Moreover, hot drinks, roasted sweet potatoes and other snacks will be provided to ward off the cold.

‌Agricultural Products Fair:‌ It will gather characteristic agricultural products from Faku County such as Yimu hawthorns, Taoshan baijiu, Dingjiafang hazelnuts and Yemaotai peanuts.
