The Hunhe River will once again ripple with rowing waves in September.

The 9th Shenyang Open Regatta will take place from September 11 to September 13 at the urban section of Hunhe River.The event attracts rowing teams,paddle-board enthusiasts and recreational kayakers from all over the country.

Group and Project

This year's event features both rowing and kayak paddle boarding.Participants ranging from 8-year-old youth to 65-year-old adults can find their appropriate group.

Viewing Schedule

September 12

Preliminaries and finals of all groups for 1,000-meter rowing race & award ceremonies

September 12 marks a key day for watching the races. The 1,000-meter straight sprint features four groups competing in succession. Spectators can watch both preliminaries and finals in one day. Boats race neck-and-neck on the river, delivering the thrill of speed. Award ceremonies will be held throughout the event, enabling spectators to see athletes take the stage to receive their prizes up close.

September 13

Preliminaries and finals of all groups for 4500 meters round-the-island rowing race & award ceremonies

Rowers will circle Ruyi Island in full, offering a long course with multiple viewing angles. The bends in the river are prime spectator spots, where the most exciting overtaking moments take place.

▶ 14:00—17:00

Finals of 4,500-meter stand-up paddle board and recreational kayak races & award ceremonies

The afternoon session features fresh highlights this year with newly introduced stand-up paddle board and recreational kayak races. Paddle-boarders paddle 4,500 meters standing upright, and pairs in recreational kayaks make their way on the Hunhe River. The scenes and atmosphere are vibrant and lively, completely different from those in the morning, resembling a bustling water carnival.
