On October 11,jointly established by Shenyang Disabled Persons' Federation and Shenyang Municipal Business Environment Construction Bureau,the sign language service workstation was officially put into service.Individuals with hearing or speech impairments can enjoy exclusive sign language services on site or by appointment when accessing government services.

As of now, the sign language service workstation has gathered 30 sign language translators, who can provide one-on-one full-process guidance services for people with disabilities at any time. The initiative to set up the sign language service workstation to meet the actual needs of people with disabilities is the first of its kind in the country.Individuals with hearing and speech impairments can also scan the service evaluation QR code in the government service hall to evaluate the service content, professional behavior and service quality provided by sign language translators, consultation desk (window) reception staff, as well as business environment and other aspects, after accessing government services.

In addition to sign language translation, the government service hall has also designated accessible parking spaces, installed barrier-free threshold strips for wheelchair access, established convenient service areas and equipped with hearing aids, wheelchairs, blind sticks, visual aids and other convenient items to provide convenience for various types of people with disabilities.Shenyang Disabled Persons' Federation also conducts sign language training with business environment construction departments to help window service staff to master sign language skills for daily communication and further optimize services for people with disabilities.
