Hackathon,also known as Hack Marathon,is a feast for programmers and geeks.

From August 17 to 20,2023 Hackathon @BMW iFACTORY was held at the Brilliance BMW Tiexi Plant.

This competition has four sub tracks, corresponding to the four key areas of BMW iFACTORY production strategy: lean, green, digital and talent development.

The competition attracted nearly 200 contestants from 88 universities at home and abroad, with a total prize amount of over CNY 100,000.In the end, the "Hacker Marathon Sub-Team" composed of five students from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Peking University and Tsinghua University sailed through the initial audition and stood out in the 48-hour extreme brainstorming session, winning the championship.

After the "Hackathon", BMW engineers will select the winning results and carefully polish them, and ultimately put them into factory production applications to further improve cost control, flexible production and sustainability, and make creativity "bloom and bear fruit".

Moreover, the competition also collaborated with Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television to lead young geeks to visit the historic city, get to know and fall in love with Shenyang.
