On August 7, the 27th friendly exchange of youth sport in northeast Asian area kicked off in Shenyang.China's Liaoning Province, Japan's Toyama-ken and the ROK's Gangwon-do each sent a delegation of 25 people to participate in exchange competitions in men's basketball and women's judo.

The friendly exchange of youth sport in northeast Asian area is an international youth sport exchange project jointly initiated by Liaoning Province, Japan's Toyama-ken, the ROK's Gangwon-do, and Russia's Primorye-Territory in 1993.It is organized by four regions in rotation and has been held 26 times before, playing a great role in promoting sports friendly exchanges and youth friendship in northeast Asian area.This time's event is jointly hosted by the Liaoning Provincial Administration of Sport and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial Government.
