In recent years,Shenyang has made great efforts to improve its water environment.In 2021,all the inferior Class V water bodies were eliminated from 20 sections in assessment by the province or above,11 of which reached the high quality.Shenyang's water environment quality reached the best level in history.

Shenyang is in the north of Shenshui.Shenshui is wide and now called Hunhe River.

Hunhe River is 172 kilometers long in Shenyang,of which the urban section is about 32 kilometers long.Around the Hunhe River,Shenyang has built an 80km-long waterfront slow space and 12 waterfront urban parks including Shenshuiwan Park and Wulihe Park.The banks on both sides of the river are fully greened,forming an urban landscape belt that integrates citizen parks,cultural squares,sports and entertainment and ecological landscapes.People can breathe fresh air,have sports and enjoy a good time here.
