The Liaoning Provincial Library and the Liaoning Provincial Museum in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, reopened to public on March 24, following two months of closure, according to local reports.

The two facilities returned to work with a host of novel coronarivus epidemic prevention and control measures in place to protect people's safety.

Library officials said that for the moment only the general service center on the first floor and the borrowing area for Chinese social science books on the third floor are open to readers -- and only borrowing and book returning services are offered.

The library is currently receiving up to 700 people a day.

Meanwhile, museum officials said that all regular exhibition areas at the museum are open to visitors and before April 15, the museum receives 1,000 visitors daily at most, while from April 16 to 30, it receives a maximum of 1,500 visitors each day.

Both places have adopted a real-name appointment system and require all visitors to receive body temperature measurements and to wear face masks.
