New progress has been made in the construction of the Phase II Project of Shenyang Expressway.Two projects of Yuanjiang Street Expressway and Yuanjiang Street Third Ring Interchange have entered the stage of foundation construction.

The two projects are planned to be completed by the end of 2024.After completion,it will improve the orderly connection of the inside and outside of the Third Ring Road and the Third Ring Road&the Second Ring Road,form the western composite channel together with Xijiang Street Interchange,Hongqitai Interchange,Santaizi Interchange and the surrounding urban road network,connect the economic and cultural clusters in the northwest of Shenyang and relieve the traffic pressure on Xijiang Street,Nujiang Street and Huanghe North Street.

It is reported that the Yuanjiang Street and Third Ring Interchange Project is an important planning point of the Phase II Project of Shenyang Expressway.It is an interchange built among the northwest end of Shenyang Ring Expressway,the Great Turning Hub and the Dingxiang Lake Bridge.

After the completion of the project,Shenyang Ring Expressway and Shenyang's Northwest Second Ring Road will be connected,which will greatly facilitate the middle and long distance transportation in the northwest area of Shenyang and the Dingxiang Lake area and the traffic demand of the vast area in the northwest of Shenyang to enter and exit from Shenyang Ring Expressway and Shenyang-Zhangwu Expressway.The completion of the project will form another important radial expressway to the northwest direction in urban area of Shenyang,which will play an important role in improving external traffic.
