According to China Mobile Shenyang Branch on March 3 that the 5G network coverage has been completed in the waiting halls of Shenyang Railway Station and Shenyangbei Railway Station, 5G signal coverage in the tunnels of Metro Line 9 and Line 10 and installation of wireless equipment in Line 1 and Line 2 have been completed, so that citizens will have a good experience in surfing the Internet while enjoying the convenience brought by the city's three-dimensional transportation network. 

The coverage level is in the leading position in Northeast China

On March 3, the reporter used a 5G cell phone in the waiting hall of Shenyang Railway Station, the word "5G" appeared above the status bar of the phone, smoothly accessing the China Mobile 5G network. Zhang Xin, Project Manager of China Mobile Shenyang Branch Engineering Department, introduced that after two and a half months of equipment installation and commissioning, China Mobile Shenyang Branch took the lead in completing the 5G network coverage of Shenyang Railway Station and Shenyangbei Railway Station and put them into trial operation, and the coverage level is in the leading position in Northeast China. 

At the high ceiling of the waiting hall there is a small box nearly square. This small box is the 5G base station. "A total of 74 base stations were installed at Shenyang Railway Station and 58 at Shenyangbei Railway Station," Zhang Xin introduced that, in view of the relatively open features of the waiting hall, China Mobile Shenyang Branch adopts Huawei four-channel equipment and high-quality shapedbeam antenna to cover the station, which makes the network structure more reasonable and provides a foundation for the station to build multi-scene digitalization and informatization in the future. 

Equipment renovation, the 5G network in the metro will be completed soon

Shenyang Metro 5G construction has also made new progress. Following the full coverage of China Mobile 5G signals on all platforms of Metro Line 9 and Line 10 in the second half of last year, the full coverage of 5G signals was also achieved in the tunnels of Line 9 and Line 10 in mid-January this year, allowing mobile phones to use 5G signals to access the Internet while the metro is running. 

At present, Shenyang Metro Line 1 and Line 2 have completed the installation of 5G wireless equipment. Due to the relatively early time of completion and operation, the existing power supply system cannot meet the electricity demand of 5G base stations, and China Mobile Shenyang Branch will transform them in the near future and is scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year. By then, 5G signals will be available simultaneously on the platforms and tunnels of Metro Line 1 and Line 2. 

5G full coverage, the traffic and communication surfing together

Up to now, important transportation hubs including Shenyang Taoxian International Airport, Shenyang Railway Station, Shenyangbei Railway Station, Shenyang SK Passenger Station, Liaoning Express Bus Station and Shenyang Wuai Passenger Station have achieved 5G signal coverage. 

Among them, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport's T1 Terminal, T3 Terminal, Business Airplane Terminal and outdoor gate-side areas and apron are seamlessly connected with the 5G network from indoor to outdoor, making it the first aviation hub in Northeast China to achieve 5G network coverage. 

Next, China Mobile Shenyang Branch will build a new generation of information infrastructure system led by 5G in these important transportation hubs, accelerate the promotion of person-to-person communication, thing-to-thing connection and man-machine interconnection, and explore new application scenarios with 5G as the core.
